South Cave Tractors Ltd (SCT) has been selling the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Unimog for over 50 years from its base in East Yorkshire. Location is very good for access to all parts of the country now after relocation to new premises in 2007 coincided with the purchase of the business by its current owners, husband and wife team, directors Antony (Tony) and Tracey Levitt. Managing director, Tony has been with the company almost since incorporation and this long history, combined with his strong mechanical engineering background, has made him among the most knowledgeable people on the subject outside of the Unimog factory and has, in the past, assisted with design and development there through his close association with many of the key factory engineers and designers.
Our Engineering Expertise
There can be few companies that can have done more to develop Unimog for the UK agricultural market than South Cave Tractors Ltd. Since the early days of MB-Trac mounted sprayers, through the development of forward-control Unimog designs, and onward to today’s remarkably efficient and productive S-Trac demount platform, the company has established itself as the leading expert in agricultural Unimog applications. In its latest incarnation the S-trac demonstrates all of those years of design expertise condensed into what could be the most productive and practical self-propelled spray delivery platform on the market.
South Cave Tractors experience with Unimog has allowed us to design and manufacture a range of agricultural accessories for Unimog including front and rear PTO, 3 point linkages, pick-up hitch, larger hydraulic tank, OECD cab frame, dual spring suspension upgrades, the list goes on.
